Annemijn van Marle is a crisis analyst at PRISM. She holds a master in Transnational Governance and has focussed her own research on transformations of violent conflict and conflict resolution that have been brought about by changes to the climate, international order, and technological innovations in the battlefield. Her thesis, analysing changes in norms expressed in peace agreement texts over the past three decades, was awarded Best Thesis by the European University Institute.
Beyond her research, Annemijn actively engages with the growing challenges to peace and human security. At the External European Action Service, she worked at the Israel and Palestine division during the breakdown of the ceasefire and the twelve-day Iran war. She is also active within the climate movement within the Netherlands and co-founded the MAREA Intersectional Feminist Collective at the School of Transnational Governance.
